  • 2026 Catholic Appeal

    • Together in the Spirit, we are united as one Body of Christ.

The Holy Spirit draws us into communion with Christ and with one another, forming us into a community grounded in faith, generosity, and service. Strengthened by the Spirit, we are called to share Christ’s love through our words and actions and to carry His mission into our homes, parishes, and communities.

When you give to the Catholic Appeal, you respond with a joyful YES to walking Together in the Spirit by:

      • Reaching those most in need through food assistance, community support, and emergency outreach
      • Supporting priests and chaplains who offer prayer, comfort, and hope in hospitals and care centers
      • Providing a quality Catholic education to more than 1,700 students
      • Forming youth, adults, and future Church leaders in faith and discipleship

Your generosity strengthens the ministries of our diocesan family, and helps bring Christ’s love, hope, and presence to people throughout Maine.

For more information on all the ministries supported by the Catholic Appeal, go to: Ministries Supported by the Appeal.

    • Searching for Meaning, Purpose & Faith...?

Are you searching for meaning, purpose and faith? Do you want to learn more about Jesus and his church? Have you been baptized, but never received your other sacraments?

OCIA* is a process designed to help lead you through the inquiry process through initiation into the Catholic faith. The group meets once a week to talk about the faith, ask questions and learn how it connects to everyday life. It's a journey. The leaders will walk with you as you decide if you're ready to take the next step and be a full member of the Church. All are welcome....come as you are!!

Classes are meeting Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm in the Immaculate Conception Church Hall. Meeting topics through the end of the year are listed under Events, with the filter Faith Formation.

    • Prayer for our Parish

      Lord,
St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish is composed of people like me.
It is I who help make it what it is.
It will be friendly, if I am.
It will be holy, if I am.
Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them.
It will do great work, if I work.
It will be prayerful, if I pray.
It will be generous for good causes, if I am a generous giver.
It will bring people together for worship and fellowship, if I invite and bring them.
It will be a parish of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, if I am filled with these same qualities in myself.
Therefore, Lord, give me the grace to dedicate myself to being everything I want St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, my parish, to be.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
      Amen.
