Faith Formation students from Calais, Baileyville and Sipayik gathered Sunday, October 26, 2025, after 8:30 Mass for games and activities to help them remember the saints who have gone before us and think about ways to become saints themselves.
Students came dressed as saints to the party. Included were Saints Carlos Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati, two young men canonized in 2025 by Pope Leo XIV. Also represented were Saints Isabelle of France, Mary Magdalene, Pope John Paul II, Francis and Elizabeth of Hungary. One student from Sipayik, Ayra Nichols, attended Mass at St. Joseph's in Eastport Saturday as Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
Students were able to do activities at four different stations. At one, students were able to write down the "little things" they could do to be closer to Jesus, following the example of St. Therese of Lisieux. At another, they could make and decorate a wooden cross, following the example of St. Kateri Tekakwitha. There was a game dedicated to St. Peter the Fisherman, as well as a coloring station where children could color pictures of several saints.
