Faith Formation students from St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish dressed up as saints Sunday morning in preparation for celebrating All Saints Day. Faith Formation leaders provided a fun mix of pumpkin carving, saint-related games, crafts and snacks after Mass on Sunday, October 27, 2024, where children from all the churches in the parish could learn about the religious origins of Halloween.
All Hallow's Eve was traditionally celebrated as the day before All Saints Day, which falls on November 1st. Children dressed as Saint Kateri Tekakwitha; Mary, Queen of Heaven; Saint Joan of Arc; Saint Teresa of Avila; Saint Therese of Lisieux; Saint Nicholas and Saint Francis, Saint Carlos Acutis, a young Italian man who was recently canonized, was also represented. Faith Formation students from Sipayik, Calais, Baileyville and Indian Township participated in the event.
