Several dozen parishioners gathered Wednesday evening, October 22, 2025, to pray before the Blessed Sacrament and the icon of the Sacred Heart provided by the Knights of Columbus. Father Joseph Lukong and members of St. Croix Council #149 of the Knights of Columbus led the group in prayer and song.
The group listened to readings reflecting Jesus' love for his people and echoed the psalm response "You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation." Grand Knight Mike Boies led the group in the Litany of the Sacred Heart and Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree Assembly of the Knights, Ed Stover, led the group in the Divine Mercy Chaplet, formulated by St. Faustina Kowalska. Those assembled prayed an Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart, as well as St. Margaret Mary Alacoque's Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart.
Father Joseph blessed the group with the Blessed Sacrament, and the group joined in saying the Divine Praises and singing Tantum Ergo and Holy God, We Praise Thy Name.
The Sacred Heart icon is a representation of an 18th century painting by Pompeo Batoni, the original of which is housed in the Church of the Gesù in Rome. The full text of the Knights' Sacred Heart Holy Hour can be found at the following link:
